Amy is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Amy found yoga over 20 years ago when she began seeking a form of exercise that was not gym-based or competitive. She discovered her body’s abilities and resilience through intentional practice of self-compassion and mindful movement.
Through the study and practice of yoga and yogic philosophy as well as her work as a psychotherapist, Amy developed the belief that yoga is a pathway to personal transformation regardless of your age or experience. Amy views yoga as a mindful practice that enriches mind/body/spirit wellness, encourages supportive community, and offers personal development that can lead to experiencing life in a healthier and more joyful way. Amy’s favorite styles of yoga are slow vinyasa, yin, and restorative.
