Jennifer Toso-Kenna,
Fitness Instructor
Jennifer was born and raised in North Dakota, spending the last 20 years living in Fargo. She has a background in cheerleading and dance. She was always very physically active, so she dabbled in general fitness in her early 20's in preparation for competing in pageants. After representing North Dakota at the Mrs. America pageant, Jennifer took a break from pageants. As it often happens, life got busy and self-care took a backseat. After having two kids, Jennifer eventually decided it was time to get back into it.
She tried a little bit of everything - free weights, cardio equipment, running... but she eventually found a real love for group fitness. She spent time as a gym member attending classes, but then she finally took the plunge and attained her first certification in the cardio-kickboxing HIIT format, Strong Nation in 2019. She received her ACE Group Fitness certification in 2020 and has taught just about every format since. Her favorites still include cardio kickboxing, as well as group strength training. Jennifer is also certified to teach Aerial Hammock and through that training, she worked hard at overcoming her fears of heights and inversions.
In August of 2022, Jennifer, her husband Don, and two children made the journey from Fargo to Raleigh. She is currently employed as a school counselor at South Garner High School. She is so excited to work at Mind & Body Therapeutic Connections, where we embrace both physical and mental health for overall wellness. Jennifer believes strong is beautiful and wants to spread the message of body positivity to all class participants!
