Nutrition Counseling
At Mind & Body, we believe that what we eat, or don't eat, can greatly impact our emotional and physical wellness. And since our mental and physical health are intermingled, Nutrition Counseling can play a valuable role in your treatment plan. Our Registered and Licensed Dietitians/Nutritionists provide nutrition counseling to individuals of all ages. They utilize HAES (Health At Every Size) and Intuitive Eating models. They have experience treating a variety of medical conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, PCOS, and mental health disorders. They are knowledgeable on the mind-body connection and how the food we eat affects our feelings and behavior. They have helped hundreds of people reduce their risk for chronic disease, achieve their health and wellness goals, and overcome emotional and stress eating.
Nutrition counseling services include a one-hour comprehensive assessment where our dietitians will work with you to identify your long-term health goals and establish short-term steps that will help you reach them. Follow-up appointments are recommended weekly to biweekly, during which you will receive ongoing support, education, and coaching to help you make lasting behavior changes. Most health insurance plans cover nutrition therapy under their preventative benefits.
